Chipmusik-kollektivet YM Rockerz vaknade ur sin slummer i vintras och vi jobbade stenhårt med siktet inställt på att släppa nytt album. Den 6:e april 2011 släpptes ‘Seven’, det sjunde albumet i ordningen, och nyheten var het bland chipmusikfans och sociala medier. Nu var det kanske inget vanligt skivsläpp, ett sådant som du hittar i din lokala skivhandel, utan snarare ett som du tankar ner från ymrockerz.com på en floppy och matar din Atari ST med, eller om du föredrar att hämta låtarna gratis som mp3:or går det också bra på 8bitpeoples.com.

Jag fick gjort en låt till albumet men jag har också stått för art direction av produktionen och lade upp en WIP (Work-in-progress) som beskriver designprocessen på Vimeo. Bara att trycka ‘play’ i spelaren ovan. Hoppas ni gillar!

Chipmusic collective YM Rockerz has woken up from its slumber and this winter we worked hard on a new album. The 6th of April ‘Seven’ hit the masses and the news was hot among chiptune fans and in social media. This album release is not what you’d expect to find in your local record store, more something you’d download from ymrockerz’ website and feed it to your Atari ST using a floppy disk, or if you prefer the mp3 file-format you can go to 8bitpeoples.com and download the album for free.
